Following the many successes achieved by the Lizzy Football Training Programme and the Lizzy Sports Club both locally and internationally, the talented football team have further gone on to achieve more success at this years’ Gothia Cup 2017 and Norway Cup 2017 in Sweden and Norway respectively.

Marcel Desailly Cup 2016 came to a completion at the Lizzy Sports Complex over the weekend. This was a youth competition that involved young talents from between the ages of 13 and 17. The tournament which involved 19 teams saw players from all over the country compete for medals and the coveted trophy. It was a host and win event for the Lizzy Sports F.A. as they won all 3 categories, that’s the U-17, U-15 and U-13.
Congratulations to the Lizzy Sports Academy U- 13 team on winning the SAQ Cup 2016 that ended at the Lizzy Sports Complex on Sunday 22nd May 2016. They beat Barcelona and Soccer Movers in the finals with amazing goals. A big congrats also to Daniel Abbey on winning the SAQ U-13 player of the tournament

With millions of adults playing the small sided football every week and with newly built astroturph pitches, Lizzy Sports Complex has fast become the ideal venue for organised and competitive small sided games and leagues. This Corporate Football League encourages both young adults and adults to continue playing and enjoy all aspects of the “beautiful game.” The aim and objective of this league is to; help promote the health and well-being of the participants, to promote the best practise guidelines for small sided football, to enhance the awareness and profile of small sided football, to encourage participation opportunities for all players, referees and coaches, to help promote team building by facilitating the involvement and commitment of every player towards the achievement of expected results.
Europa FC has signed a partnership agreement with Marcel Desailly and his football Academy, Lizzy Sports.
This agreement will see active collaboration and partnership for the development of young talent, coaches, coaching techniques and access to respective footballing networks to achieve new levels of success on and off the pitch. This development transcends just our Club, we hope it is an important step for football in Gibraltar and an inspiration to Gibraltarian players of all ages as the profile of the sport on the Rock continues to grow. These are exciting times for the Green Machine and we look forward to developing our new fan and supporter base in Ghana and welcoming Marcel, when he visits us later this year, and West Africa’s newest talents to Gibraltar and Europa FC!’
Europa FC established in 1925 has signed a partnership agreement with Lizzy Sports FC. This agreement will see active collaboration and partnership within the two clubs for the development of young talents, coaches, coaching techniques and access to respective footballing networks. This is to achieve new levels of success on and off the pitch. Europa FC will have the opportunity to sign some of the Lizzy Sports players once they meet their expectations. The Lizzy Sports FC operates U-17, U-15 and U-13 sides that play in the colts (juvenile) leagues in the country.
The partnership agreement which was signed in October last year at a ceremony in Mecca will see the players of the juvenile Ghanaian club get opportunities to have their players travel to Saudi Arabia to train with superior facilities at the Al Wehda Sports Complex.
When former France Captain Marcel Desailly launched the Lizzy Complex on 18th June 2011, he set out on a journey to honour the memory of his late mother Elizabeth Addy and also to provide a modern sports facility to serve a growing urban populace.
