Aitor Karanka has hinted that Albert Adomah will miss Wednesday’s Capital One Cup tie at Manchester United.
Adomah was injured after coming off the bench in the 3-1 win at Wolves while Forshaw suffered a knock at Cardiff last week.
The Ghana international suffered a twisted ankle during the match, which may him leave on the sidelines for the trip to Old Trafford.
Karanka said: “Adomah jumped and he twisted his ankle, it’s not serious but I don’t think he can play on Wednesday. Forshaw twisted his ankle at Cardiff on Tuesday,” Karanka said, as quoted by the club’s website.
“In all my time here we haven’t had a lot of injuries, but we have been missing Stuani and we now have Albert as well with his ankle.”
“I don’t know how he will be for Wednesday. Adam Forshaw has also picked up an injury as well. We will have to wait and see over the next few days.”
