The TIC2F enters it’s 18th edition this year with lots of excitement surrounding one of the modest youth international tournament in Africa.
The tournament is set to unleash and expose the best young talents from the African continent onto the big stage with fierce competition between the topmost youth teams in Africa. As aside the competition there are opportunities that could come the way of player that come out top after the tournament with top scouts and agents on the watch.
The 2018 Porto-Novo Tic2f tournament will be contested by twelve top youth teams from Togo, Nigeria, Mali, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire and Benin being the host country. With two teams coming from each country except Togo with one and the host country parading three teams.
The teams will be paired in two groups with 6 teams in a group with the all play all rule, as the two top clubs from each group will directly go to the final of the tournament, as the two-second place in each group will play the third-place match. The tournament starts Monday 2nd April – Sunday 8th April 2018 at the 15000 capacity Charles de Gaulle Stadium Porto-Novo, Benin.
Two teams representing Ghana at this year’s edition is Current champions (Won the tournament’s last edition) Rising Stars of Africa and new entrants Lizzy Sports Club. Both teams are poised to make Ghana proud again to return the decorated trophy back to the motherland.
Alongside the tournament has set aside a rest day before the final games which would allow all the teams to have a feel of the beautiful sceneries in the city of Porto-Novo with its beautiful tourist centres that would accord in the sweet memories of teams to add up to the excitement of the tournament.
