English Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion have announced that it has reached a deal with FC Zurich to sign Ghana striker Raphael Dwamena.
The 21-year-old has been on the radar of the newly-promoted English Premier League outfit since the window opened in the summer and they have officially confirmed on their website that a deal is in place.
“Brighton & Hove Albion can confirm that the club has reached agreement with FC Zurich for the permanent transfer of Ghanaian international, Raphael Dwamena, subject to work permit and international clearance,” A Brighton statement read.
They are expecting the former Red Bull Salzburg striker in England for medicals in the coming days to complete the deal.
“The 21-year-old striker has also agreed personal terms with the club and is now awaiting clearance to travel to the UK for his medical,” they added.
The Seagulls had an £8m bid for Dwamena rejected with reports saying FC Zurich wanted 15m euros (£13.7m).
